Why I Am Seeking Extraordinary Ordination with CWAC

I am seeking Extraordinary Ordination with CWAC because I feel called to sacramental ministry within the Methodist tradition but outside of the current restrictions and constraints of the United Methodist Church.

I have many beloved friends (and a beloved daughter) who are gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual. I believe the current doctrine and polity of the United Methodist Church is harmful and hurtful.

I also believe in a connectional Christian movement. Extraordinary Ordination with CWAC will provide a sense of belonging to an important national movement advocating for a fully inclusive Church, as well as a level of credibility for the work of Genesis of Hope, a parachurch organization. The purpose of the organization is to create empowering contexts for spiritual leaders, and in the process to leave faith communities transformed with new found effectiveness in creating a more compassionate, just, sustainable, and plentiful economy.
