Video project proclaims God is Love, not a bully

My God is Not a Bully!Chicago, IL — It began in 2011 at a meeting in Tucson, where the national Coordinating Team of the Church Within A Church Movement looked for a way to share the message that God is Love, not hate. A year later, a video legacy project was launched at the Church Within A Church Movement's (CWACM) 10th anniversary celebration. Now, Pride month 2013, the dream will become real.

Reflections on the 10th Anniversary Celebration

The Church Within A Church Movement celebrated 10 years of "Faith, Community and Justice" October 19-21, 2012 in Chicago, IL.

10th anniversary event was "outstanding" ... programming was "cutting edge" ... the panel conversation "blew me away" and the racial identity caucusing was "astonishing."

The weekend was a powerful reflection of who the Movement has become.

My God is Not a Bully! Project Launched

My God is not a bully!Chicago, IL — A legacy project will be launched at the Church Within A Church Movement’s (CWACM) 10th anniversary celebration in Chicago, the weekend of October 19-21, 2012. The project titled “My God is not a Bully!” is a collaboration between Chicago’s E3 Radio innovator, Anna DeShawn, and the CWAC Movement.

“the Church Within A Church Movement wants LGBTQ youth to know there is another side to the story. We want to share a message that God loves them and that however you define God, in all traditions, God is Love, not a bully. With Anna’s collaboration and enthusiasm for the project, we will begin video production in October and launch one video each day during the month of June 2013.”
